FG orders civil servants to work from home due to coronavirus

As the federal government stepped up efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus in the country, civil servants have been asked to work from home as a precautionary measure against the virus.

A memorandum issued by the Head of Service Folasade Yemi-Esan, all civil servants from grade 1-12 to work from home starting on Tuesday, March 24, until further notice.

While senior civil servants are expected to come to work, but have been asked to limit their visitor numbers.

According to Yemi-Esan,the  FG like other Nigerians is concerned about the well-being and safety of all public servants just as it was about other Nigerians..

The memo reads in part;

“All public servants are, therefore, strongly advised to follow the measures being put in place by government to curtail the spread of the pandemic.

“As a further step to check the spread of COVID-19, all non-essential public servants on grade level 12 and below are to work from home with effect from Tuesday 24th March, 2020 until further notice.”
