Reacting to Toyin’s death on Twitter, Common demanded justice for the activist, who he says ‘spent the last days of her life fighting for justice for her people.’

Sharing photos of Toyin via his Twitter page, the rapper wrote: ‘#JusticeForToyin: She spent the last days of her life fighting for justice for her people. It shouldn’t be lost on us that Black Women have been at the forefront of these Movements. We have to stand up against violence happening to our Black Women and Girls. God Bless her soul.’

Common’s post comes after Police confirmed they have arrested 49-year-old Aaron Glee Jr. in connection to the killing of the Black Lives Matter activist.
